With Nespresso Vertuo machines, you can brew coffee in many different ways. Unfortunately, you cannot use the original Nespresso pod in your Vertuo machine. We have listed the nespresso vertuo pod storage ideas.

Quick Navigation

If you want to use a new and improved Vertuo machine, you must use a different Nespresso Vertuo pod than the original Nespresso pod.

But that’s not entirely bad. Various sizes are available for Vertuo pods. It all depends on the type of machine you have and the type of coffee you want to make.

The new Vertuo machine has five capsule sizes. Also, regardless of the size of the capsule, the machine uses the same amount of water. Different pod sizes determine how strong the coffee aroma is. For example, espresso is always the strongest, and the Alto XL (14 ounces of coffee) is the lightest.

This post will show you how to use the best Nespresso vertuo pods.

1. Put water in the container

Firstly, you need to ensure that the machine has enough water to make coffee. All Nespresso machines have retractable hoppers and are marked with the lowest level. The minimum mark on the Vertuo pod is slightly higher than on the original Nespresso. This is because you can make 40ml to 414ml of coffee.

When filling with water, make sure the pod is pressed correctly down. Otherwise, the status light may flash.

2. Place the pod inside

The Nespresso Vertuo pod is much larger than the original chamber. Also, the outside of each pod indicates the amount of liquid to pour into the machine and how the pod rotates (Vertuo uses centrifugal force to brew).

To insert the pod, you must open the cover automatically or manually. The Vertuo pod slides upside down into the pod holder inside the box.

3. Make your coffee

Close the machine cover. For manual covers, make sure it is properly locked. Otherwise, the status light will flash while brewing coffee. Insert a suitably sized mug (the amount of coffee is printed on the bottom of the capsule) and touch the top button. When the machine warms up enough, the coffee is brewed. Wait for the stoplight to stop flashing before removing the mug.

You need to open the cap and automatically empty the used capsules into the bottle when you’re done. Remember to use the Nespresso recycling process to monitor the bottles’ complete and empty regularly.

Nespresso vertuo pod storage ideas:

With Nespresso, you can store pods in stylish and functional ways.

Whether you decorate your vertuo pods on a counter or put them in a drawer or cupboard, you have many options.

Depending on the amount of coffee you need to store, your kitchen’s style and size. Nespresso has a coffee pod storage option, whether you’re looking for functional storage or a touch of flavor.

If you want to keep your vertuo pod for months, you need a more robust solution. Let’s take a look at some ideas you can use to keep your fresh coffee longer and avoid potential health problems.

  • Maintain a dry environment with minimal humidity when storing your pods. A pantry or cupboard with an opaque door is probably the best way to store them.
  • When you are in a room above room temperature in the summer, outdoor sheds are a terrible idea, especially if you live in an area that is both hot and humid. For that matter, coffee pods (and coffee grounds) are better stored in an air-conditioned pantry.
  • Because of their airtight seal, Nespresso pods last so long. This seal can be punctured, broken, or otherwise damaged, and the grounds will go bad within hours or days.
